Advanced Search examples (Search Tab):
Use ? or [space] as a wildcard for one letter, and - as a wildcard for any number of letters.
Example: l??kup returns linkup, lockup, lookup
Example: -gry returns angry, hangry, hungry, puggry
Example: fi?d-ing returns finding, fiddling
Advanced Anagrams examples (Anagrams Tab):
(1) Use a ? or space as a blank letter
Example: XZ? returns ZAX, ZA, AX …
(2) Use () around letters for a group
Example: PG(OU)RTS only show words containing OU together.
ie. GROUPS, GROUP, SPROUT, GROUTS …

Word Lookup Pro app good for
I use it daily, so I must like it. It could be improved - allow more characters (9 is max on my app)
Love to new look and features. Tap on a word with def displayed, ability to switch order of words, length, score etc.
Very helpful tool for expanding vocabulary and finding words made up of mostly/only vowels or mostly/only consonants.
Love the app. Would very much like to be able to see ten letter words.
Really enjoying the anagrams (a few words not in the dictionary though). Developers want to add a feature? Searching those words within words - all the prefixes and suffixes need to be able to have many more letters on the tray ( only allowed 9). Much fun though
This is a great App until I realized one of my opponents started using bombastic words using all 7 letters each time. Before that, we were always at par. I am not a sour grape but when you are confronted with words which are almost never heard of, you just begin to wonder... My advise is to be honest in your plays and not abuse this great App!
Some bad moments
It was working great for awhile then starting having crashing problems. Ive tried deleting and adding again same thing happens again. Looks like it needs a bug fix. Up grade time pls.
It gives words that are invalid. That is a failure. So it is not using the same dictionary as Word for Friends. (Inversely Word for Friends accepts words that Word Lookup does not give.)
The facility to email the company does not work and the identity of the producer is unknown. Any entity with an internet presence should have an easy method of Internet communication with users. Failure to provide support can only lead to poor reviews.
A very helpful app to have in your corner. Ill start to spell a word, and several show up to chose from. I really like the ability to find the correct spelling meaning of words. With this app, your on your game. Thanks so very much for this app!
Great help for word game apps. Easy to use.
Gives definitions as well as showing the available words.
Finally, a place to find the definitions of all these weird Scrabble words!
If you play Words with friends, I highly recommend this to help you get lots of word options. My vocabulary has expanded, too!
